The Great North Wood Education Trust

The Great North Wood Education Trust is a multi academy trust for pupils from 0 to 19 in London.

The Brief

We’ve got a long-standing working relationship with The Elmgreen School, so it was a pleasure to be appointed for the marketing of their new school trust. The Elmgreen School and Rosendale Primary School tasked us with creating a new trust logo that reflected their message within the community and a trust website to match.

Our Response

Our challenge was to design a logo that explained to the community what The Great North Wood Education Trust was about; the relationships and partnerships between the schools and providing outstanding outcomes for all pupils from 0-19.

After a few initial meetings with both schools, the final logo design represented the range of ages involved with stylised figures, growing in size. We also incorporated a contemporary rainbow of colours that illustratively conveys one of the Trusts key ethos points; to foster a happy, friendly and co-operative spirit.

The website design centred around a large full width photo panel packed with beautiful shots of the happy pupils and staff across the trust. The site is mainly white to keep it fresh and let the images and copy stand out. Both school’s Twitter feeds were incorporated in the footer, giving a snapshot view of current events at both schools. We worked closely with the trust team to ensure all relevant and ‘must have’ information was clearly displayed across the site.
