The Brief

We have a long-standing relationship with Higham Lane School, having previously produced marketing, prospectuses (main school and Sixth Form), stationery (letterheads, compliment slips and business cards) and annual open day invitations. But for this particular project, we were appointed to create a new school video for them that would take pride of place on the school’s website.

Our Response

Having worked with Higham Lane School for the last 8 years, we have a great relationship and really understand their brand. So we were easily able to advise on the possible content for their new video. We worked with the team at Higham to make a detailed list of areas we all wanted to include in the video; from student council meetings to classroom activity and outdoor sports – we wanted to cover a lot of ground to really showcase all of the school’s attributes.

We worked together on the narrative and flow of the video, agreeing that a mix of narration and background music would work best. The running order for the shoot was planned out along with our schedule for shoot day.

The video would start with short teasers showing day-to-day running of the school, leading into an introduction from the Headteacher. Teachers would explain how the school approaches learning and finally, the students feature, sharing their feelings and experiences of the school. We got some great footage on-site and in post-production the careful pre-planning meant we could produce a really informative and visually engaging video for Higham Lane School.
